Alyssa Seely is not a commercial actor but a professional athlete. She was born on December 4, 1989, in Phoenix, Arizona. At the age of 3, she was diagnosed with spina bifida, and when she was 7, her doctors decided to amputate her left leg due to complications from the condition. However, her disability didn't stop her from pursuing her goals.
In high school, Seely was a competitive swimmer, but after watching the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, she decided to switch to paratriathlon. She rose to fame in 2015 when she won gold at the ITU Paratriathlon World Championships in Chicago, which was also the qualification event for the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Seely competed in the paratriathlon event at the 2016 Summer Paralympics and won the gold medal in the women's PT2 category, which consisted of a 750-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike ride, and 5-kilometer run. She finished the race in just over 1 hour and 15 minutes, beating her nearest competitor by two minutes.
In addition to her Paralympic success, Seely has also won multiple medals at the World Championships, including a silver in 2017 and a bronze in 2018. She has also written a book about her experience with spina bifida called "The Other Side of Sports: A Plan B to an Active Lifestyle".
Despite facing numerous challenges due to her disability, Alyssa Seely has become a trailblazer in her sport and an inspiration to many. Through her perseverance and determination, she has shown that anything is possible with hard work and dedication, and she continues to inspire others to chase their dreams.
