Who is Dan Aykroyd?
Dan Aykroyd is a highly regarded Canadian actor, comedian, screenwriter, producer, and musician who is well known for his work in the entertainment industry. He was born on July 1, 1952, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and started his career as a writer and an original member of the "Not Ready for Prime Time Players" on the comedy show "Saturday Night Live" (SNL).
Aykroyd's career took off after his time on SNL with his roles in hit movies such as "Ghostbusters" and "Blues Brothers." He continued to act in successful films throughout his career , including "Trading Places," "Spies Like Us," and "Driving Miss Daisy." Aykroyd has also done voice-over work in animation and video games.
In tandem with his acting career, Aykroyd has also worked as a writer and producer. He co-wrote and produced "Blues Brothers," which turned into a cult classic, and has also been involved in the writing and production of other films, such as "Dragnet" and "Coneheads."
