Jessica Darrow is an American actress and singer known for voicing the character Luisa Madrigal in Disney's Encanto. She was born on January 7, 1995, in Miami, Florida. Darrow studied theater at Shakespeare's Globe Theater in London and received her degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. In addition to her voice acting work, she has also acted on stage and in film, and is also a singer with a significant following on Spotify. Darrow is also an Associate Instructional Professor and directs the Global Social Development Practice Programs at the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work , Policy, and Practice.
