She then went on to study at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, where she graduated in 2012.

Brosnahan began her acting career in 2009 with a small role in the film The Unborn. She then had guest roles on various TV shows like Gossip Girl, The Blacklist, and Orange Is the New Black.
