What the Cleveland Golf CBX ZipCore TV commercial - Chunk a Little Less is about.
Cleveland Golf recently launched a TV spot for its new golf club, the CBX ZipCore. The TV spot is titled "Chunk a Little Less" and aims to highlight how the club can improve a golfer's game.
The TV spot is set at a golf course where a group of golfers is playing. As they play, they all struggle with their golf shots, resulting in many bad shots, including hitting them short. In the background, a voice-over encourages the players to "chunk a little less" with the new Cleveland Golf CBX ZipCore.
Then, a golfer is seen using the new golf club, and the difference is immediate. The clubhead effortlessly enters the turf and moves through the turf with ease, producing pure strikes. The golf ball flies higher and stops quicker on the green, perfectly showing off the capabilities of the club.
The TV spot highlights the main features of the CBX ZipCore. The club features a low-density core that moves the center of gravity towards the center of the clubface. This design provides better stability, improves the accuracy of shots, and reduces the likelihood of mishits.
The commercial ends on a memorable note, with the tagline "Chunk a Little Less" lingering in the viewer's mind. Ultimately, Cleveland Golf's CBX ZipCore TV spot emphasizes how the club can help players improve their game and reduce their number of chunked shots, establishing itself as a golf club worth considering for avid golfers.

While the sole is critical, we all know that spin is what gets the people going. The RTX 6 ZipCore wedges promise more spin no matter where you are. To achieve that, they use a suite of technologies. That starts with the eponymous ZipCore which makes the wedge more forgiving and consistent.
Well, there's a fresh Zip in town as today Cleveland Golf unveils its new RTX ZipCore wedge. There's only so much technology that can be added to a blade-style wedge and still keep it a blade-style wedge.

CBX Full-Face 2 Wedges: The Full-Face Story
Sure, the new wedge is a full-face version of the CBX ZipCore. The face is slightly larger with a slightly higher toe than its less-than-full-face brother. And it features the same wide-sole, large cavity-back, ZipCore insert and forgiving performance.
Pros will use anything from a 56° to a 60° for chipping. But things can get even weirder than that. Some PGA golfers will use putters for chipping in some situations, or even 7, 8, or 9 irons, depending on the shot they're about to make.
The new RTX 6 still has a traditional teardrop shape, like the RTX Zipcore, but with a bit more compact head. Nothing drastic, but it is slightly smaller. The Zipcore also had a higher toe, and I think the RTX 6 brought it back down to a more reduced profile.
The CBX 2 also employs the same groove pattern and surface roughness seen in the tour-level RTX4 wedges introduced last year. That includes a face-milling pattern of interlocking rings, 17 finer-edged grooves than the original CBX and then 96 horizontal laser-milled lines surrounding each groove.
With a high-toe profile, the CBX Full-Face 2 has a hitting area that is 13 percent larger than the RTX Full-Face. That's not only helpful on mis-hits, but assists with better contact on open-faced shots, too, as the grooves stretch across the entire face.
C grinds are (generally) the most common
The most common would be a “C grind” which has the toe and heel sections of the sole shaved off a bit to make the sole more rounded. This allows the wedge to play a bit more versatile from different lies and face orientations (open face, shut face, etc.).
The Cleveland CBX Wedge is a forgiving, cavity back wedge for the 84% of golfers who play forgiving, cavity back irons. While its tour level face technologies create maximum spin and control, its shape and weighting are optimized for ultimate forgiveness.
LARGER FULL-FACE PROFILE
Hit more extreme, open-face shots with a larger face size - the largest contact area ever on a CBX Wedge. Plus, with 13% more contact area than our RTX Full-Face, that means more grooves from hosel to toe for more forgiveness, no matter where you strike it.
