This is an action game in which players assume the role of a samurai (Jin Sakai) on a quest for vengeance against Mongol invaders in 13th century Japan. Players traverse open-world environments, interact with characters, complete quests (e.g., assassination), and infiltrate enemy strongholds.

"[How do we] make it satisfying and leave it open to expand further from there? That's the real challenge: how to take so much great and get it down to a watchable level." Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions announced the Ghost of Tsushima film in March 2021 and Stahelski said it's now "in heavy development".

While not 100% accurate, Ghost of Tsushima is actually based on true historical events, chronicling the first Mongol invasion of Japan in which the island of Tsushima was occupied by the Yuan invasion force.

I am a firm believer that video games should be respected as stories on the same scale as film and literature, and this game only helps my case. Whether you are a seasoned gamer or someone who is simply trying to find a great story to experience, Ghost of Tsushima is what you're looking for.

Due to its strategic location, Tsushima played a major role in defending Japan against invasions from the Asian continent and developing trade lines with Baekje and Silla of Three Kingdoms of Korea.

For all its eventual stumbles in mechanics or gameplay (I'm getting there), Tsushima's greatest triumph is its story, direction, and its success in making the player feel like the star of an emotionally compelling, action-packed, and great looking samurai film.

Similar to Marvel's Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima has great exploration and satisfying combat, with simple-to-understand upgrade systems. If you're looking for a similar but different experience to Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima may scratch that open-world exploration itch.

Since that announcement, there hasn't been any major news on the film to come about, but according to Stahelski, that doesn't mean that it's not being worked on in any capacity. Speaking to ComicBookMovie, Stahelski said that himself and those working on the Ghost of Tsushima are in "heavy development" on the movie.

After the battle, Taka remarks that he's never seen any samurai fight the way Jin has before. Yuna crafts a tale to explain Jin's superhuman abilities, boasting to onlookers that Jin is not human, but a vengeful ghost - a story that sticks and results in Jin becoming known as the legendary Ghost of Tsushima.

All I have to say is, this games combat is the most satisfying combat I've ever played in any game. The game never drags, the pacing is amazing. Exceptional detail and a beautiful open world. Take the best things of Nioh, sekiro & assassins creed and you get ghost of tsushima.
