KPMG Women's PGA payout: What Ruoning Yin and Co. earned at Baltusrol

PositionPlayerEarnings
1Ruoning Yin$1,500,000
2Yuka Saso$875,130
T3Carlota Ciganda$423,070
T3Anna Nordqvist$423,070

Ruoning Yin Ruoning Yin put on a ball-striking clinic all weekend and then rolled in a 10-footer for birdie on her 72nd hole to win her first major championship.

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. - The KPMG Women's PGA Championship purse has more than doubled in the past two years, rising from $4.5 million in 2021 to $10 million this week at Baltusrol Golf Club. China's Ruoning Yin took home $1.5 million, one of the few seven-figure checks in the women's game, for her dramatic victory.

The Women's PGA Championship (branded as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) is a women's professional golf tournament. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour.

STREAMING ON NBC Sports App, golfchannel.com and Peacock.

Ten years ago, that number was $49 million, but even in 2021 it was around $70 million. Last year, 27 L.P.G.A. players earned $1 million in prize money (up from 15 the year before). That number still pales in comparison with the men's PGA Tour, where, last year, 126 players earned more than $1 million.

Ruoning Yin Ruoning Yin birdies the 18th hole to take a one-stroke lead over Yuka Saso that winds up clinching her the 2023 KPMG Women's PGA Championship at Baltusrol Lower Course in Springfield, NJ.

WALTON-ON-THE-HILL, England -- Lilia Vu was already smiling when her long, snaking birdie putt dropped into the cup on the 18th green, confirming her -- not that it was ever in doubt -- as the AIG Women's Open champion and a two-time major winner.

A one-time, $8,000 bonus to recognize your investment in your career at KPMG. This bonus will be paid out in May following either three years of service from being hired as a senior associate, or if you are hired as an associate and then are promoted to senior associate, three years after your promotion.

This year's total prize money has seen an eight percent increase from last year, which was 60 million USD. The men's and women's singles winners will each receive three million USD.
