Alien: Isolation is a 2014 survival horror game developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

As far as alien canon goes, yes it is.

The tracker can absolutely be heard for at LEAST one room, and I think it can even be two rooms worth in places. DO NOT use it if you can see the alien, or if it sounds like it's less than two rooms away.

Parents need to know that Alien: Isolation isn't for younger players, primarily for the large amounts of violence, blood, and gore but also because of horror elements; players will be hunted by aliens that respond to their every mistake and track them down, with graphically shocking results.

The survival element is the strongest. The game nails the mood and atmosphere and really makes you feel like your on that ship, especially when the Alien is around. The Alien has an amazing AI and is completely unpredictable. So you always have to be on your toes when it's around.

Amanda Ripley goes through a lot in Alien: Isolation. In the end, she sacrifices herself in order to protect the whole of mankind. However, when the light hits her helmet at the very end, it's clear that she will be rescued. She even got to hear the message her mother left her and learned that she may still be alive.

Ripley soon learns that during her cryostasis aboard the escape pod, she was attacked by a Face Hugger, and impregnated with a Xenomorph embryo. A scan using the escape pod's barely functioning medical apparatus reveals this baby is none other than an Alien Queen.
