These days, Kenseth spends most of his time with his family and has no desire to return to racing full-time. But SRX presented an opportunity he couldn't pass up. “I am not looking for a set schedule or to be a professional race car driver again,” Kenseth said.

When the sport returned to action this past May, so did Kenseth. He replaced Kyle Larson in the No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing Chevrolet after Larson was released following his use of a racial slur during an iRacing event in April.

Kenseth ended his racing career in 2016 and became an accountant for a real estate firm in Miramar Beach, Florida.
