2007Celtic Thunder / Active from Celtic Thunder was conceived in the mind of producer Sharon Browne (Celtic Collections) who started the group in 2007. Celtic Thunder debuted in August 2007 at The Helix in Dublin, Ireland.

In 2011, it returned as an Internet-only channel, replacing Channel 67 under the Celtic TV name. The channel is 100% owned by the club.

Celtic Thunder will be back on tour in the U.S. Spring 2023. We will be touring a brand-new show and we are currently working on finalizing the itinerary, which will be announced in the coming months. We are endeavoring to route this new tour to include cities where we disappointed fans by cancelling the 2022 dates.

Celtic Thunder has been hailed as BILLBOARD's Top World Music Artist, along with Top World Music Imprint and Top World Album in 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2015. The Celtic Thunder official YouTube channel, “Thunder Tube” has received over 177,404,358 views and 243,000 subscribers since its inception in 2008.

Cuchullain is at the center of these stories as he is the only warrior in all of Ulster who is unaffected by a curse which paralyzes all other heroes and which leaves him the only man able to fight off the invaders. According to the stories, the warrior who would become known as Cuchullain was the son of the god Lugh.

Heroes of the Celtic world include Brennus who once held Rome to ransom, Queen Boudicca who in defence of her tribe decimated London, and William Wallace (Braveheart) who defeated an Anglo army twice the size of his spirited battalion.
