The Long Road Home is an American drama miniseries created by Mikko Alanne. It is based on the 2007 book The Long Road Home: A Story of War and Family by Martha Raddatz, which tells the story of a U.S. Army unit during the first day of the siege of Sadr City (Arabic: مدينة الصدر, romanized: Madīna 'ṣ-Ṣadr) in 2004.

Based on Martha Raddatz's best-selling book, the series chronicles the real events of "Black Sunday" (April 4, 2004) when members of the U.S. Army's 1st Cavalry Division were ambushed in Sadr City, Iraq. Filming locations include: Fort Hood in Killeen, Austin, Copperas Cove, Fort Worth & Harker Heights.

The soldiers' backstories went from mundane meet-the-family stuff to interesting series of events, linking in with their current situation and revealing their characters. Absolutely stunning and viscerally gripping. I would totally recommend it to anyone interested in history.

Summary. When eighteen-year-old Danny is fatally stabbed in a random attack his family struggles to find meaning and forgiveness. His mother's determination to understand the atrocity brings her face to face with his killer and forces the family to confront the bitter senselessness of their loss.

The genre of airing, Road Home will tell the story of a love between two children who have been separated for a long time. This drama adapts to the novel of the same name by Mo Bao Fei Bao. With the premise that is familiar, the chemistry between Jing Bo Ran and Tan Song Yun is certainly a concern for the audience.

Hillcoat preferred to shoot in real locations, saying "We didn't want to go the CGI world." Pennsylvania, where most of the filming took place, was chosen for its tax breaks and its abundance of locations that looked abandoned or decayed: coalfields, dunes, and run-down parts of Pittsburgh and neighboring boroughs.

Hurt Locker remains the greatest movie made about the Iraq War, and it's hard to imagine another film surpassing it in the near future. Unlike most Hollywood films, the plot is secondary to the film's action but provides enough of a structure to prevent the audience from losing interest.

The show premiered at the Soho Theatre in 2008 and was created from real-life stories of victims and perpetrators of crime, by Shelagh Stephenson and people from The Forgiveness Project and Synergy Theatre, a company which works with prisoners and ex-prisoners aiming for their eventual rehabilitation.
