He stayed with the same Fujikura Ventus Blue 6X shaft he had been using, and the only adjustment they had to make was with the SureFit Hosel setting on the driver head. Spieth previously played his TSi3 10-degree driver in an A-1 setting, which is a standard loft and lie.

Spieth has finally switched into the Titleist TSR range, opting to use a TSR2 instead of his previous TSi3 driver. He also finally swapped out of his trusty Titleist 915F fairway wood and moved into the Titleist TSR3 model.

The reason for the added distance is primarily through the T100s being two degrees stronger than the T100, but configured in a way that ensures turf interaction isn't compromised. However, the flight window and spin numbers were also very similar to the T100, averaging around 200rpm lower on average.
