iPhone 7 model A1660 The A1660 is the GSM+CDMA model and works on pretty much any carrier, including Verizon and Sprint. A1660 models have CDMA support which Verizon and Sprint use for 2G and 3G connectivity. The A1660 is sold by Apple as the SIM-free model and is typically used by Apple for replacement devices.

The ATT model of the iPhone 7, 8 and X does not have any CDMA radios and won't fully work on Verizon or Sprint. You might get service occasionally when on LTE but no telling when or where. You need a different phone.

It has 3G and 4G/LTE capability. It will still work when they shut off the 3G networks.

Turn VoLTE on your Apple iPhone 7 iOS 14.0 on or off Press Mobile Data. Press Mobile Data Options. Press Voice & Data. Press the indicator next to "VoLTE" to turn the function on or off.
