Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston just work so good together as well as their characters. The action isn't as good as in John Wick 4 of course but for such a movie it's very good. I wasn't expecting that.

Once again, the relatively tight runtime (this one is only 90) keeps The Sandman and his writers away from the meandering non-jokes that fatten the worst Happy Madison movies.

It's made just-about-watchable by Sandler and Aniston again, whose combined movie star charm proves magnetic enough to carry us through the flatter moments, both nailing some effectively chaotic physical comedy and maintaining a warm, relaxed chemistry.
