The game contains a handful of sequences that briefly depict sexual acts: a man (shown from behind) masturbating over bloody corpses; cultists engaging in sex during an outdoor ritual - no genitalia or penetration depicted.

Even though it came first, we have to admit that Outlast has far better gameplay design than Outlast 2. The first Outlast played like a quiet horror movie, as you were forced to sneak around enemies, find safe passages, and run from evil people who wanted to kill you.

Outlast is a terrifying game which hooked me almost instantly. Like with most 'scary' forms of media, it has to be enjoyed properly by sitting in complete darkness with the sound up high, but if you can endure the constant barrage of horror, then it's a hugely enjoyable experience which I would definitely recommend.
