DR-HO'S ® Pain Therapy system Pro combines TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) and Pulse Massage to help stimulate nerves and muscles. It is designed to temporarily reduce and relive muscle tension, pain, and stiffness.

It has 3 therapy modes: Select three different therapy modes that feel like three different massage techniques! Mode A feels like a deep, kneading massage; mode B feels like gentle chopping and shaking; mode C feels like gentle soothing and rubbing.

For most people, TENS is a safe treatment with no side effects. Some people may be allergic to the pads and their skin may become red and irritated. Speak to your GP, physiotherapist or pharmacist if you have concerns.

Use the TENS for as long as you need to. You may find you are wearing the TENS for much of the day. Begin with short periods of 30 to 60 minutes. Increase as needed.

You shouldn't use a TENS unit if you're pregnant or if you have:

• An implantable device like a pacemaker.
• Cancer.
• Epilepsy.
• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
• Bleeding disorders.
• Heart disease.

Acute pain is usually most effective between 80 and 120 Hz. Chronic pain can also benefit from lower settings 2 to 10Hz that stimulates an endorphin release. A setting between 35 and 50Hz is commonly used to stimulate muscles for strengthening or even relaxation.
