Charles Entertainment Cheese, better known as simply Chuck E. Cheese, is the anthropomorphic mouse mascot of the Chuck E. Cheese's chain of family entertainment centers since 1977.

The character was first created as the mascot for a restaurant made by Nolan Bushnell (founder of Atari) in 1977. Bushnell went to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) conference in Orlando and saw walk-around character costumes being sold.

Cheese's full name is "Charles Entertainment Cheese." According to his official backstory, he's an orphan. He never had his own birthday, so instead he fills the void by hosting birthday parties for everyone else.

The main characters are: Chuck E. Cheese - The titular mascot, a mouse (formerly rat) who is the lead singer of the band. He is outgoing, friendly, and likes singing and entertaining families. Helen Henny - The other lead vocalist, a female chicken who is into gaming.

Cheese for short, is the mascot of the Chuck E. Cheese chain of family restaurants. From 1977 to 1992 he was an anthropomorphic rat, changing to a mouse in 1993. In 2012, he was rebranded into a smaller version in an attempt to increase sales.

The Child's Play franchise has been a bit of a creative whirlwind at times, which is odd in a sense, as every film has been written by the same man: creator Don Mancini.

With the new information offered by Chucky's long-awaited backstory for Charles Lee Ray, merged with the doll's subsequent shelf life, Chucky is officially, as of 2021, a 64-year-old soul hiding behind an eternally youthful visage.

The original show featured Crusty The Cat (the first character to face retirement as he was soon replaced with Mr. Munch in 1978), Pasqually the singing chef, Jasper T. Jowls, the Warblettes, and the main focus of the show, Chuck E. Cheese.

In Chucky, flashbacks (which are expanded upon to include a birthday party) put Charles Lee Ray around 8 years old in 1965. As such, the character was born in 1957 and is subsequently 31 at the time of his original human death.
