Ask a doctor before giving Children's Allegra Allergy liquid to a child younger than 2 years old. The disintegrating (melting) tablets are not for use in a child younger than 6 years old. The 12-hour and 24-hour forms of Children's Allegra Allergy are not for use in a child younger than 12 years old.

Children 6 Months to 11 Years: The recommended dose of ALLEGRA oral suspension is 30 mg (5 mL) twice daily for patients 2 to 11 years of age and 15 mg (2.5 mL) twice daily for patients 6 months to less than 2 years of age.

Children's Allegra® is formulated with Fexofenadine HCl, a non-drowsy antihistamine that works to relieve allergy symptoms of sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, and itchy nose or throat due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies.

Fexofenadine is an antihistamine medication that comes in a capsule or tablet form. It treats and prevents symptoms of allergies like itchy eyes, sneezing and hives. It works by blocking histamine in your body. A common brand name of this medication is Allegra®.

Allegra is an effective OTC medication for treating allergies. There are once-daily and twice-daily dosage options for adults and adolescents ages 12 and older. These age groups should take no more than 180 mg of Allegra per day. Children ages 2 to 11 years old should take 30 mg twice daily.

Antihistamines. Non-drowsy, long-acting antihistamines like Claritin, Zyrtec, Allegra and Xyzal are available in children's form over the counter and are generally safe for little ones ages 2 and older, as long as you get the okay from your doctor.

Children's Allegra is available in meltable tablets and liquid. The meltable tablets dissolve on the tongue without water and are suitable for kids 6 years old and up. Allegra liquid is suitable for kids 2 years old and up.

It's generally well tolerated, and considered safe for most people to take. If you experience any of the following serious side effects after taking Allegra seek immediate medical help: Rash. Hives.

This combination medication is used to temporarily relieve symptoms caused by the common cold, flu, or allergies. It contains 2 medications: fexofenadine and pseudoephedrine. Fexofenadine is an antihistamine that helps relieve watery eyes, itchy eyes/nose/throat, runny nose, and sneezing.

Newer antihistamines like Allegra and Claritin are generally safe for daily use. But allergy medications with decongestants, such as Claritin-D or Benadryl-D, could make your allergies worse with long-term use.

ALLEGRA SUSPENSION is recommended for use in children (aged 2 to 11 years) to treat seasonal allergic rhinitis and in children (aged 6 months to 11 years of age) to treat uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria.
