Director Chad Stahelski confirms that John Wick 5 is still a possibility, but he and Keanu Reeves are waiting for the right story idea to present itself. The director teases that he has enough set piece and action ideas to fill up another five John Wick movies, but they need a story first.

While the John Wick franchise is great at world-building, there has been nothing in the previous three movies that hinted toward Winston being John's biological father. Though the pair grew closer with each consecutive release, they were nothing more than allies in the John Wick series.

John was born Jardani Jovonovich in a Padhorje village somewhere in the Byelorussian SSR of the Soviet Union to a Ruska Roma family on September 2, 1964. He was orphaned at a young age before being taken in by an old friend of his father, Winston who would eventually become John's mentor.
