Frequently Asked Questions about dulcolax tv spot, 'constipation solutions'

Dulcolax® is a proven laxative brand that provides relief of occasional constipation with different products that include the active ingredients bisacodyl, docusate sodium, and magnesium hydroxide. Dulcolax® is a proven, safe way to find relief from constipation when used as directed.

DULCOLAX is mainly used for the treatment of constipation. Under medical supervision, DULCOLAX can be used for the evacuation of the bowel before a radiological examination or as an enema alternative.

Use and dosage Dulcolax® Adult 5 mg Gastro-resistant Tablets are best taken at night with a glass of water (swallow - don't chew). Don't take the tablet with other products that reduce the acidity of the upper gastrointestinal tract. This includes milk, antacids and proton pump inhibitors.

Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: nausea/vomiting/diarrhea that doesn't stop, muscle cramps/weakness, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, fainting, decreased urination, mental/mood changes (such as confusion). A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare.

You should not take Dulcolax with or immediately after meals. It must be taken on an empty stomach. It is best to take it 1-2 hours before or after having dinner. You should drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine.

Stimulants. It's better to try these if your constipation is severe and other drugs haven't worked. They cause your intestines to squeeze so things get moving. Two of the more common ones are bisacodyl (Correctol, Ducodyl, Dulcolax) and sennocides (Senexon, Senokot).

Dulcolax is recommended for short-term use only. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice. Long-term use of Dulcolax is not recommended. If you take Dulcolax every day, you should consult with your doctor to find out the cause of your constipation.

Dulcolax is safe for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). As for the medications used for the colonoscopy, I would discuss this with the physician who will be doing the colonoscopy and tell him or her that you have CKD.

Medications for constipation Colace, Dulcolax, Metamucil, MiraLAX Colace, Dulcolax, and Metamucil are generally safe for people with kidney disease. MiraLAX must be taken with a full glass of water, so it is not recommended for people on dialysis who have a fluid restriction.

You can take Dulcolax® Laxative Tablets at any time except within 1 hour of consuming dairy products (e.g. milk) or antacids. The tablets have a special “enteric coating,” which protects it from the acidic environment of the stomach and ensures it's released in the small intestine, where it's needed.

This medication works if it is taken at bedtime. If you take it on an empty stomach, it might upset your stomach. Please consult the doctor before using Dulcoflex 5Mg Tablet. How long do I need to use Dulcoflex 5Mg Tablet before I see improvement of my conditions?

Chronic constipation can be subclassified into four categories: normal transit, slow transit, dyssynergic defecation (DD) and slow transit-dyssynergic combination (6,7).
