Do I need gas in the tank? You should never drive the NX 450h+ without gasoline in the tank. While under certain conditions you may drive on electricity alone, the vehicle always requires gasoline to operate properly.

2023 NX Hybrid Gas Mileage The 2023 NX 350h earns an EPA-estimated 41 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. These are great estimates for any small crossover. Lexus says the NX plug-in earns 84 MPG-equivalent in combined city/highway driving.

When it comes time to fill up, the Lexus NX requires premium unleaded gasoline. You should be looking for an octane rating of 91 or higher, to ensure the NX runs efficiently while providing the best possible performance.

As you can see, the Lexus NX is only slightly longer, a little shorter, and about the same width as the RAV4. However, the cabin of the NX is roomier, particularly in the front. The Lexus NX comes equipped with many technology features found on the RAV4, plus a few that are exclusive to the NX.

Most hybrid batteries should take drivers about 100,000 miles. With excellent maintenance, some owners are able to push this number to 200,000.

If you continue using regular gas, the performance of your car will suffer and so will the fuel economy. Even worse, regular gas makes your car's engine more prone to detonate. The bottom line is, if Lexus requires that you use premium gas, or at least octane rating 91, do not use regular gas.
