Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon is a series of military tactical shooter video games published by Ubisoft. In the series, the player is in charge of a fictional, newly conceived squad of U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers from Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Group (5th SFG) stationed at Fort Bragg.

Like many other Ubisoft games, Rainbow Six Siege and The Division 2 come to mind, Ghost Recon Breakpoint will always require an online connection to the Ubisoft servers. Because of this, you won't be able to play the game without an internet connection, or if the Ubisoft servers go down for any reason whatsoever.

Ubisoft confirms that while Ghost Recon Wildlands allowed for offline single-player, Ghost Recon Breakpoint will require a persistent online connection.
