To clean your comforter without a washer, fill your bathtub with lukewarm or cold water. Next, pour some detergent into the water and soak your comforter for a few minutes. Swirl it around to ensure every part of the comforter is clean.
You'll want to exercise caution when using a top load washer, as the agitator can damage the comforter if it's not durable enough. (Our Berkshire Lite Luxe Comforter is durable enough to withstand the agitation of a top load washer, so long as your washer has a large capacity drum.)

Jeff Gawronski
Inspired by the college nickname that Jeff Gawronski (founder of Byourbed's Coma Inducer® series) earned as a freshman due to his love for all things soft, plush, and cozy.
It has been found to be effective in treating some patients, particularly those with severe brain injury. A medically induced coma uses medication to attain a deep state of brain inactivity. It is a reversible unconsciousness that doctors purposely induce to protect the brain from damage.
Sedation, on the other hand, puts the patient in a "semi-conscious state" rather than a very deep unconscious state, allowing the patient to be comfortable during surgery with minimal side effects. Sedation can be administered in ASCs and physician offices, whereas medically induced comas are only appropriate in ICUs.
You read right; sheets, quilts, duvets, feather beds, pillows, mattress covers and more all have the potential to contain harmful chemicals (like formaldehyde) that disrupt your health while you sleep!
Down, especially down of high quality, is extremely hard to beat when it comes to warmth-to-weight ratio. The down alternative comforter you are interested in could be twice the weight of its down counterpart.
Comforters: Instead of lugging your king-size comforter to a laundromat, you can wash it in any washer with a claimed capacity of at least 4.5 cubic feet, according to our tests. It's best washed by itself, for better agitation and rinsing. An extra rinse cycle might also be helpful for these bulky items.
