Salonpas Lidocaine Patch tv commercials

Salonpas Lidocaine Patch is a topical medication used to relieve pain. It contains 4% lidocaine, which is a numbing agent that works by blocking nerve signals in the body. The patch is designed to be applied directly onto the skin, and it provides temporary relief of pain associated with back , neck, shoulders, knees, and elbows.

The patch is available in a pack of 6 or 15 patches and is applied to the affected area for up to 8 hours. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and not to use more than recommended as it may cause side effects. The patch is unscented and can be used together with other pain relief medications for a more comprehensive treatment approach.

Salonpas Lidocaine Patch is suitable for people who experience minor pain due to arthritis, muscle strains, bruises, joint pain, and back pain. Before using the patch, it is essential to read the instructions carefully and consult a healthcare professional if you have any questions or concerns.

Overall, Salonpas Lidocaine Patch is a convenient and effective option for people who need temporary relief of minor pain. It is easy to use, offers long-lasting pain relief, and can be used in combination with other pain relief medications for a more comprehensive treatment plan.

Topical anesthetics such as lidocaine produce a local numbing sensation to reduce pain; examples include Salonpas and Lidocare.

Redness, swelling, blisters, or changes in skin color at the site of application may occur. These effects usually disappear within a few minutes or hours. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Salonpas may be a good alternative if you have arthritis and need to treat inflammation, but you cannot tolerate oral medications or had an inadequate response with its use. Salonpas, like any medication, is associated with potential side effects, but they appear to be fewer than with oral NSAIDs.

Lidoderm, which is lidocaine 5% patch, is not a controlled substance but Lidoderm does require a prescription. Lidocaine itself is not a controlled substance and it belongs to a class of medications called local anesthetics.

Lidocaine patches should start working about 30 minutes after you apply them. In some cases, it may take longer for them to work, especially if it's your first time using them. But once they start working, the relief can last for 8 to 12 hours.

Intravenous lidocaine is used broadly in the management of neuropathic pain, postoperative pain, postherpetic neuralgia, centrally mediated pain, headache and infiltrative malignant neurological lesions (8). Lidocaine is a relatively safe drug, which can be used at low doses without any notable safety concerns.
