Pamprin Maximum Strength Multi- Symptom is formulated to provide complete relief of cramps, headaches, backaches, irritability and bloating caused from menstrual cycles. Pamprin is made without caffeine, which can aggravate Premenstrual Syndrome symptoms.

Pamabrom is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the group of drugs called heterocyclic compounds. It has been shown to have a significant analgesic effect on experimental animals in vivo, and also has an activity on the central nervous system.

You should not use pamabrom if you are allergic to it, or if you are unable to urinate. Ask a doctor or pharmacist if it is safe for you to use pamabrom if you have other medical conditions, especially: kidney disease; heart disease; or.

Acetaminophen/pamabrom/pyrilamine is an over-the-counter (OTC) product used for pain relief from menstrual cramps. Acetaminophen/pamabrom/pyrilamine is available under the following different brand names: Midol Maximum Strength PMS, Pamprin Multi-Symptom Maximum Strength, and Premsyn PMS.

Pamabrom is a water pill that tells your kidneys to make more urine. This helps remove the extra fluid in your body. Pyrilamine is an antihistamine that blocks a natural substance in your body called histamine. By blocking histamine, pyrilamine lowers inflammation (redness, swelling, pain).

Stop taking this medication and tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: stomach/abdominal pain that is severe or doesn't go away, severe dizziness, fainting, vomit that looks like coffee grounds, black/bloody stools, ringing in the ears, loss of hearing, irregular/fast heartbeat, ...

See also Warning section. Upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, constipation, dizziness, or drowsiness may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Common side effects of Pamprin Multi-Symptom may include:

• dizziness, drowsiness;
• dry mouth, nose, or throat;
• constipation;
• blurred vision; or.
• feeling restless or excited (especially in children).

What is the most important information I should know about Pamprin Cramp Formula (Apap Magnesium Salicylate Pamabrom)? You should not take this medication if you are allergic to acetaminophen (Tylenol), magnesium salicylate (Nuprin), pamabrom, aspirin or other NSAIDs.

Overdose of acetaminophen/pamabrom/pyrilamine can result in liver damage from acetaminophen with severe adverse effects that include symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, sweating, abdominal pain, extreme tiredness, yellowing eyes and skin, dark urine, agitation, confusion, hallucinations, and seizures.

Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction while taking pamabrom: hives; difficult breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Common side effects may include: gold-colored urine (a normal side effect of pamabrom and not cause for concern).

Moderate Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. The use of pamabrom (a theobromine derivative) has been associated with the renal elimination of potassium due to its diuretic effects. Therapy with pamabrom should be administered cautiously in patients with hypokalemia.
