Jurassic World Dominion's long-clawed Therizinosaurus presumably has cataract in its eyes, which explains why it does not spot Claire hanging from the tree. To ensure its survival in the wild, the Therizinosaurus heavily depends on its hearing and ruthlessly eradicates everything it perceives as a potential threat.

Therizinosaurus is an extinct genus of the therizinosaurid family that lived in Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous period around 70 million years ago.

Like other therizinosaurids, Therizinosaurus had a relatively small skull in proportion to the rest of its body. It possessed a long neck and a large, robust body. According to most experts, its body was likely sparsely covered in feathers.

Therizinosaurus was very tall, possibly for reaching into treetops. It had extremely long, bladelike claws, which must have been used to defend itself. Although plants made up most of its diet, Therizinosaurus probably ate a few small animals too. The claw bones of Therizinosaurus were up to 30in (76cm) long.

Therizonosaurus' had small heads but very long necks to help them reach up high. Their fossils are very rare as only three large claws of Therizinosaurus have ever been found. When the Therizonosaurus' fossils were first discovered scientists didn't realize it was in fact a dinosaur, they thought it was a giant turtle!

At first, scientist thought its claws belonged to a meat-eating dinosaur, but it turns out Therizinosaurus, having a long neck, small head, and those great claws at the front, had been a plant-eater rather than a predator, and used their huge claws to drag leaves towards their mouths.

In fact, Therizinosaurus was a herbivore that almost exclusively ate plant material. Experts believe it was a browser with a diet mostly consisting of twigs and leaves. It probably used its long claws to grasp at branches and leaves overhead.
