Synopsis. During her days of entrapment in the Quantum Realm, Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) (Pym's wife, Hope's mother, and the original Wasp, who was lost in the Quantum Realm for 30 years) encounters an exiled traveler named Kang (Jonathan Majors).

What Does Quantumania Actually mean? The Ant-Man & The Wap: Quantumania title is almost certainly meant to evoke the word "quantomania," which refers to the act of focusing on countable or measurable entities to the exclusion of other factors.

The standout of “Quantumania” was the highly anticipated movie debut of Kang. While seen at the end of the “Loki” series, this is the first time audiences get to see Kang on the big screen. Jonathan Majors plays Kang as a scarily good manipulator as well as a powerhouse of an antagonist.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania sets itself up as being one of the more consequential films to the larger MCU. Not only does it take the characters outside the usual setting of San Francisco to explore the Quantum Realm, but it also provides a showcase for the new MCU big bad for the next two phases of the MCU.
