One of the less expensive paints in the bunch, Ace Clark & Kensington did a great job covering up our test surfaces. Unfortunately, we found that the surface didn't hold up that well to wear.

This is a good all around inexpensive buy. It scored well in all three categories (Ease of Use, Performance, and Appearance). Although it's a breeze to apply and will add style to any room, it scratches easily so save it for one that doesn't get a lot of wear and tear from your kids - like a play area.

Primer dries rather quickly. It can be tinted to the color of the finish coat so it is not as much of a contrast when you are applying your finish coat. Sometimes the primer coat looks like the finish coat. If you cannot get back to the wall for a week or even a year it's ok.

2-3 coats You will want to use 2-3 coats of primer to ensure there is a good bond between the new paint and the wall, and also to cover up any previous colors, especially if they are red, orange, or a strange outdated color.
