Clone High is a Canadian–American adult animated sitcom created by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Bill Lawrence. The comedy centers on a high school populated by the clones of famous historical figures.

Clone High (also known as Clone High U.S.A.) is an adult animated comedy series, which parodies the high school teen drama genre.

The term cloning describes a number of different processes that can be used to produce genetically identical copies of a biological entity. The copied material, which has the same genetic makeup as the original, is referred to as a clone.

Researchers can use clones in many ways. An embryo made by cloning can be turned into a stem cell factory. Stem cells are an early form of cells that can grow into many different types of cells and tissues. Scientists can turn them into nerve cells to fix a damaged spinal cord or insulin-making cells to treat diabetes.

Dolly the sheep On July 5, 1996, Dolly the sheep - the first mammal to have been successfully cloned from an adult cell - is born at the Roslin Institute in Scotland. Originally code-named “6LL3,” the cloned lamb was named after singer and actress Dolly Parton.

Gandhi (voiced by Michael McDonald) is the clone of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, an activist of the Indian Revolution. Gandhi is a hyperactive and immature teenager who wants to be accepted by those around him.

Dolly Dolly was important because she was the first mammal to be cloned from an adult cell. Her birth proved that specialised cells could be used to create an exact copy of the animal they came from.

Parents need to know that Clone High, both the original 2002 and the 2023 revival, is intended to be a parody of 1990s teen dramas. Both installments feature lots of strong sexual innuendo-filled humor, but the earlier version also features caricatures that can be considered racially and culturally insulting.

The duo, who created the animated show with Bill Lawrence, explained that the decision to exclude Gandhi's character was due to wanting to expand and evolve the story. Lord compares the absence to how the teen dramas that Clone High spoofs will sometimes abruptly drop characters.

Clones contain identical sets of genetic material in the nucleus - the compartment that contains the chromosomes - of every cell in their bodies. Thus, cells from two clones have the same DNA and the same genes in their nuclei.

There are three different types of cloning:

• Gene cloning, which creates copies of genes or segments of DNA.
• Reproductive cloning, which creates copies of whole animals.
• Therapeutic cloning, which creates embryonic stem cells.
