Now, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is officially rolling off the line at the GM Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. The production launch was marked by a series of social media posts that show the GM Ramos Arizpe production team proudly standing next to the first example of the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV, fresh off the assembly line.

C/K pickup chassis After brainstorming, designing, and perfecting, Chevy finally unveiled the vehicle that would later become an icon in the SUV market: the Chevrolet Blazer. Built on the C/K pickup chassis, the Blazer featured a roomy, comfortable interior and a rugged exterior.

The Blazer is assembled not in the U.S. but at GM's plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. Displaying this model at the largest ballpark in the state of Michigan put GM in the crosshairs of a number of its employees.

GM assembles the new Blazer at its plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico - a sore spot for the UAW, which had pushed to get the vehicle into a U.S. plant. "It's an interesting choice," said labor expert Kristin Dziczek, of GM's decision to mount the Blazer at Comerica.

"Buying a good blazer is important because it's such an easy way to elevate an outfit," Yannetta says. "The upper half of your body is what people see the most - more than your pants or your shoes."
