The Star Wars “The Child” Animatronic Edition doll is absolutely adorable. Baby Yoda makes sounds and movements when you touch the top of his head. His eyes open and close and his arms and ears move during some of the interactions as well.

Inspired by the Disney+ series, The Mandalorian, the adorable Grogu character with green skin, big ears and large eyes looks like a "Baby Yoda" but is called The Child. The toy plush has a soft body, plus a sturdy base filled with beans, perfect for cuddling or display as a collectible.

This treatment of Grogu in The Mandalorian suggests that any child of Yoda's species, no matter the era of their birth, could be exploited for nefarious purposes. Dark forces have always existed in the Star Wars universe, creating a constant need to keep the little ones hidden away.

Part of what made Baby Yoda a phenomenon was that he did not feel imposed from above - “Baby Yoda” is our name, not Disney's - and his character, his place in the year's pop vocabulary, was created as much by the fans smithing online memes as it was by the show itself.

In Ultimate Custom Night, Ennard is referred to with male pronouns, implying that it is male. However, due to fact that every Funtime animatronic has their own gender, Ennard possibly is both male or female, or doesn't have a gender at all.

Like Bonnie, despite the name, Foxy is a male, according to the creator.

Without being able to compare Baby Yoda's M-count to other Force-users, it's impossible to say exactly how powerful he is. But as The Mandalorian has shown him to be very capable of using the Force, and with what appears to be little to no training, it's safe to say the Child is a naturally gifted Force-user.

The show has been praised for using a live-action, old-fashioned puppet for Baby Yoda instead of CGI, though the show originally wrestled with the concept and thought about using a computer-generated Baby Yoda instead. That led to the famous Werner Herzog quote, known Baby Yoda supporter, “Leave it, you cowards.”
