The Fitbit Sense 2 was released in September 2022. It's a refresh of the original Sense, which came out two years earlier in 2020. This watch sits at the top end of the Fitbit lineup. However, a Fitbit Sense 2 is still a lot more affordable than premium wearables from Apple or Garmin.

You can't put one on and expect the experience of an Apple Watch. But even given that design intent, the Sense 2 lacks the basics you'd expect of a $300 wearable. While the hardware offers nice improvements, its software goes unexpectedly backward, with features in the original Sense nowhere to be found.

The Fitbit Sense 2 launched on August 24, 2022, roughly two years after the original Fitbit Sense.

Like the original, the Sense 2 is waterproof to 164 feet. It's safe to wear while swimming and surfing, and the Fitbit Exercise app offers tracking options for both. It's fine to wear in the shower, just be sure to take it off and fully dry it (and your skin) after it gets wet.

The Fitbit Sense 2 is not as much of a smartwatch as you may hope for. It doesn't support music playback or control, and third-party app support is gone too. While it has smart features, the flexibility of a real smartwatch isn't really here. We don't rate the Fitbit Sense 2's heart rate accuracy that highly.

Track your workouts. Use the Exercise app to see real-time stats, capture GPS data, and get a workout summary when you're done. Sense 2 has built-in GPS so you can leave your phone behind.

It's a solid health and wellness tracker. The Fitbit Sense 2 supports phone calls, and if you connect it to an Android phone, then you can reply to text and notifications using voice-to-text.

The new Fitbit Sense 2 model feels more like a Sense 1.1 than a version 2. All in all, there are only some minor changes with the cEDA sensor, new sports profiles, and Google Wallet & Maps functionality.

So simply go to your phone. And launch the Fitbit. Application. And of course this watch is already paired to my phone. So go to the top left corner let me just change the focus.

The Fitbit Sense 2 supports phone calls, and if you connect it to an Android phone, then you can reply to text and notifications using voice-to-text. There is no phone dialer on the watch, but you can answer incoming calls directly on the watch after enabling the second call Bluetooth profile.
