Polaris is based in Roseau, Minnesota, USA. Components are mostly manufactured in Osceola, Wisconsin and the vehicle assembly in Roseau, Minnesota. Now that's what we call an American made ATV.

Polaris has factories in: Spirit Lake, Iowa, Osceola, Wisconsin (which specializes in manufacturing powertrains) and Huntsville, Alabama (one of the biggest manufacturing facilities). Its paint facility is located in Spearfish, South Dakota, while Sunnyvale, California handles digital, software and infotainment design.

Polaris is more reliable as a brand and normally offers sleds of higher quality than Arctic Cat. Polaris also has a wider range of vehicles to choose from.

In 1954, our founders created an early snowmobile to better travel through northern Minnesota winter. Some stars travel a great distance over the course of the night. Polaris is different. Because it's so close to the celestial pole, it traces out a very small circle over 24 hours. So Polaris always stays in roughly the same place in the sky, and therefore it's a reliable way to find the direction of north.
