At high speeds. It's really tractable as far as dialing. And more lean the corner shoe to tighten up. It's just a really well-balanced. Machine that I don't think will be intimidating to new riders.

2015–present: Vulcan 650 S Series The engine is a 649cc parallel twin derived from the Ninja 650. Retuned, heavier flywheel and redesigned intake give the Vulcan S more low and mid range torque. It has very non traditional cruiser looks with a unique frame and suspension layout.

Riding the 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S home to Long Beach from the company's headquarters in Foothill Ranch, I noticed many things. The 649cc parallel-twin powering the motorcycle is a peppy companion. The bike feels lighter than its 498-pound claimed curb weight suggests.

So the parallel twin has two cylinders that go up and down sort of side by side. It is a more efficient engine to get a lot of speed out of when I say speed. I mean revolutions per minute revs.

The Vulcan S is good bike for commuting and for fun rides but not for long distance touring.

You can see if a motorcycle is fitted with ABS by looking at the motorcycle's wheels. If the motorcycle has ABS you will see an ABS sensor which is a perforated ring between the brake disc and the axle (as shown in the image above). The ABS sensor is an inner perforated ring (circled).

649 cc Kawasaki Vulcan S is powered by 649 cc engine. This Vulcan S engine generates a power of 61 PS @ 7500 rpm and a torque of 62.4Nm @ 6600 rpm.

Kawasaki Vulcan S Is a great bike. It's 650 cc engine deliver amazing power and torque, low seating, easy stance and comfortable for riding on long tours.

Bottom line on this trip is that whilst the Kawasaki Vulcan S isn't an obvious tourer, nor is it ever going to be the best – it is actually pretty good, has plenty of power for two up touring, is a breeze to ride and handled with some aplomb pretty much everything thrown its way.

K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology) ABS is an advanced brake system that links the front and rear brakes for stable braking.

Up. You're pretty much going down unless you're a very good Rider. So you want to keep that wheel from locking up whether it's rainy. Whether you're driving a little too aggressively.

Summary of owners' reviews
Overall rating:4.2 out of 5 (4.2/5)
Ride quality & brakes:4.2 out of 5 (4.2/5)
Engine:4.7 out of 5 (4.7/5)
Reliability & build quality:4 out of 5 (4/5)

You won't be able to carry enough luggage comfortably. The little windshield you can get is cute but it doesn't offer any actual wind protection. The Vulcan S is good bike for commuting and for fun rides but not for long distance touring.

The Anti-lock braking system uses wheel sensors and other essential components sensing skid conditions that activate the ABS. Without an ABS system, the instinct would be to go into panic braking mode which in turn will make drivers attempt to pump the brakes aggressively.
