Frequently Asked Questions about sig sauer kilo850 rangefinder
I have used this for squirrel hunting (distancing trees) and it works very well. It's a recent purchase, so I have not used it for deer hunting and the need to use angle modification very much. I played with angle modification while squirrel hunting, but within 15-20 yards, you are not adjusting holdover.
I've used both my Sig BDX (whichever one everyone on here bought from Sportsmans) and a super old Nikon 440 and they've both worked fine for the course. I don't range the pole or the pin, I range the quadrant of the green I want to hit on pretty much every shot inside 200.

The Swiss company is SIG Sauer AG. Its predecessor SIG Arms AG was sold to L&O Holding in western Germany and was first renamed SAN Swiss Arms AG, commonly known as Swiss Arms, and in late 2019 was further renamed SIG Sauer AG. The American company is SIG Sauer, Inc (stylized as SIG SAUER).
Typically, hunting rangefinders have a much longer range than golf rangefinders. Golf rangefinders usually have a target range of around 600 yards, while hunting rangefinders can pick up distances of 1300+ yards. Golf courses don't usually exceed a to-the-pin reading over 250 yards or 350 yards.
Golfers are also not allowed to wind or use the device to compute other data in its capacity during the competitive game. The main reason why the PGA allowed the golfers to use these devices was to make them more consistent with the Rules of Golf.
Most golf rangefinders take lithium batteries and there are two different sizes, the popular CR2 and also the larger CR123A battery.
