Basically, acrylic photo blocks are unique alternatives to traditional photo frames. Made of crystal-clear, 0.7-inch thick acrylic, they're perfect for displaying your photos in a fun way and will stand up on their own on any flat surface.

Regardless of what you call them, acrylic clear blocks are made from resin that undergoes a chemical reaction changing it from liquid to a hard-wearing solid that's weather-resistant, easy-to-clean, and allows impressive light transmission.

Pad. Then all I do is press it down on my cardstock. Without rocking the block back and forth just apply firm pressure to get a nice crisp detailed.

But are acrylic prints waterproof? Yes, they are.

It fills the voids in cement and cinder blocks, reducing the amount of finish coat needed to coat such surfaces and provides an ideal primer surface for latex and oil-base topcoats. Formulated for professional painter use in residential, commercial, institutional and industrial applications.

If a block is simply scratched, the scratches can easily be removed without replacing the block. If the block is cracked or broken, a block replacement kit is available. The damaged block is removed and a replacement block is installed in its place.

Acrylic displays weather resistance which is unmatched by other general purpose plastics. It will withstand exposure to high levels of UV light, salt water spray, extreme cold and dramatic temperature changes without shattering, fogging or losing its lustre.

Thickness (mm): 1.5, 2, 2.8, 3, 4.5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50. Note: the thicknesses above refer to clear acrylic. Tinted Acrylic is stocked up to 10mm and all the colours are stocked in 3mm.

Lanco® Block Filler is alkali resistant and provides a good surface for topcoat adhesion. It has good filling and sealing properties and good early water resistance. Effective on above-grade, unpainted surfaces such as masonry, concrete, cement and flat surfaced concrete block (CMU).

Made out of acrylic. And we use them to mount. Our rubber cling stamps. Or our photopolymer stamps to them so that we have a nice surface that we can hold onto.

Acrylic has very strong resilience to UV rays and similar weathering and some acrylics can even block up to 98% of UV rays.

between 60F and 80F If acrylic paintings are stored at really low temperatures (40F / 4C or below), the paint film will become brittle, which could result in damage. Some sources say even 50F / 10C is too risky. The ideal temperature for storing paintings is room temperature, between 60F and 80F (16C - 26C).
