Focus Features' Insidious: Chapter 2 is a supernatural horror film that was released in 2013. It is the sequel to the 2010 film Insidious and features much of the same cast and crew. James Wan directed the movie, with screenplay by Leigh Whannell.
The story picks up where the first film ended. Josh and Renai Lambert, played by Patrick Wilson and Rose Byrne respectively, have moved into his mother's house after their harrowing experience with the evil spirits that terrorized their family. But, they soon discover that the evil spirits are not done with them yet. Josh begins exhibiting strange behavior, and Renai is convinced that the evil spirits have followed them to their new home.
The film is packed with suspense, jump scares, and unsettling moments that will leave you on the edge of your seat. Wilson and Byrne give excellent performances, and the supporting cast, including Lin Shaye and Barbara Hershey, also delivers strong performances.
