The game is set 200 years after the events of Oblivion and takes place in Skyrim, the northernmost province of Tamriel, a continent on the planet Nirn. Its main story focuses on the player's character, the Dragonborn, on their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world.

Special Edition includes all three official add-ons, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn. An in-game mod browser is introduced, allowing players to download approved mods from Bethesda.net.

Skyrim is like any other Bethesda game in that some side quest lines are simply marvellous, while others are complete trash. It's kinda hard to say as a whole. But if you do get Skyrim, I'd recommend the Dark Brotherhood quests (although I hear they're not as good as Oblivion's) and the Dawnguard DLC.
