ADT Control uses one touchscreen panel that lets you access both smart home and security equipment. With ADT Pulse, you have to use the app or the web portal to control your smart home functions - you can't do it on your security system control panel.

Every ADT home security system package includes a digital keypad, door and window sensors and motion sensor. Additional security equipment like security cameras and doorbell cameras will also be installed if purchased.

In 2019, the company said goodbye to ADT Pulse and replaced it with ADT Command and Control, which featured an all new self-contained security and smart-home panel plus a new app and cloud-based platform. ADT Pulse was based on the iControl platform, while ADT Command and Control was based on an Alarm.com platform.

The ADT Command system uses Z-Wave wireless technology to help your home's electronics talk to each other, and to you.

Each ADT description consists of two parts: Data: This part describes the structure of the data used in the ADT in an informal way. Operations: This part describes valid operations for this ADT, hence, it describes its interface.

Once installed, ADT's system lets you monitor your home effectively. Across flood sensors, smoke and CO detectors, glass break sensors and door/window sensors, you're pretty well covered, whether you're arming the system for the night or setting it to away mode for a week while you're out.

Every time your heart beats, it squeezes and propels blood through the network of arteries in your body. Your pulse is the pressure in your arteries going up briefly as your heart pushes out more blood to keep circulation going. Between beats, your heart relaxes, which brings the pressure back down again.

How does the Pulse Device work? The Pulse Device sticks directly onto your muscle(s) and sends out localised vibrations that help you perform better and recover faster.

Z-Wave technology The ADT Command system uses Z-Wave technology and works with compatible devices to turn lights on and off, raise and lower the temperature of the thermostat, control certain electrical appliances, and control door locks and garage doors.
