Transformers: Age of Extinction is a science-fiction action movie which was released by Paramount Pictures in 2014. It was the fourth installment in the Transformers franchise and was directed by Michael Bay. The movie starred Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz, and Jack Reynor.

The plot of Age of Extinction revolves around an inventor named Cade Yeager (played by Mark Wahlberg), who discovers an old truck in an abandoned theater which turns out to be a transformer named Optimus Prime. Later, he unveils his discovery to the world which brings both Autobots and Deceptions back to Earth, leading to a massive war between them.

In the meantime, a corporation named KSI attempts to create their own robots and hires designer Joshua Joyce (played by Stanley Tucci) to create a new line of robots using the remains of deceased transformer robots. However, their plans go haywire when Galvatron (a robot that KSI created) betrays them and plots to destroy humanity.

Cade and his daughter Tessa (played by Nicola Peltz) join hands with Optimus and the Autobots to stop Galvatron from executing his plans, leading to an epic battle between the Autobots and Deceptions.

Apart from the engaging plot, Age of Extinction is also known for its breathtaking visuals, stunning special effects, and outstanding action sequences. The movie was a commercial success, grossing over $1 billion at the box office and becoming the second highest-grossing movie of 2014.

I'm sure 'Age of Extinction' will make tons of money this summer, but it's a shame, because it definitely doesn't deserve it. This is filmmaking at its worse, with terrible camera work, awful dialogue, bad characters, a bad musical score, and enough blatant product placement to make your throw up.

The movie is fast moving and full of action violence. It's also quite difficult to follow if you haven't seen the other Transformer movies. The high level of violence and scary scenes make this movie unsuitable for children under 12 years and we recommend parental guidance for children aged 12–13 years.
