In October 2020, the brand sent out its “Y'all ready?” tweet and revealed its new Signature Sandwich in test markets before rolling it out nationwide in March 2021. During the test, Zaxby's new Signature Sandwich exceeded the performance of the existing hand-breaded fillet by 600%.

Zaxby's version of the Signature Club Sandwich features the brand's Signature Sandwich adding two slices of bacon and American Cheese with a choice of Zax sauce or Spicy Zax sauce. The sandwich is served as a meal with crinkle fries and a drink and will replace the Zaxby's Club that is currently on the menu.

According to history, the sandwich we know and love today was created in 1762 in England. Most food historians agree that the sandwich is the product of John Montagu, “the 4th Earl of sandwich.” Montagu was known for being a problematic gambler, spending hours upon hours at the card table.

History of the Club Sandwich The origins of this acronym go back to 19th century clubhouses in New York. The Saratoga Club House in Saratoga Springs claimed it introduced the sandwich in 1894 and the Union Club, located on Fifth Avenue in New York City, added a “clubhouse sandwich” to its menu five years earlier.

Lay the bread flat on the plate, pile the meat, etc. on top of that and you have an open faced sandwich. Make a bread, meat, bread stack and you have a closed sandwich. Add a third slice of bread as in bread, filling, bread, filling, bread and you have a club sandwich.

Well-seasoned fries But think about it – it's just a different cut of potato. Zaxby's puts some garlic salt on theirs and maybe even some paprika. Point is, the depth of flavor on their fries is incomparable. And the fact that these are crinkle cut makes them retain their seasoning better.

It is processed- pressed product. After several attempts to contact them - no return call or email. Grilled chicken has a dense odd flavor that you can tell is not a fresh product. The fried chicken tenders are wonderful but there is no healthy alternative.

What is a Chicken Club Sandwich? A chicken club sandwich is made of cooked chicken with ham or bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise between slices of toasted white bread. Modern versions of the chicken club have an additional piece of bread in the middle of the sandwich to separate the different ingredients.
