Dusty successfully eliminates the bridge fire, allowing the campers to escape just before it collapses. Dusty's gearbox blows out, and he crashes. Unconscious, Dusty is airlifted back to base where he wakes up five days later to find that park ranger Jammer has replaced Cad.

Dane Cook as Dusty Crophopper, a crop duster plane who hopes to complete Wings Around the Globe. He was inspired by the Air Tractor AT-502, Cessna 188 and the PZL-Mielec M-18 Dromader. Stacy Keach as Skipper Riley, a Chance Vought F4U Corsair and Dusty's mentor (who appeared in the Cars Toons episode "Air Mater").

Dusty gets distracted from flying due to his thoughts about Skipper and ends up crashing into the ocean but is eventually rescued. He is flown to Mexico to his friends but he is severely damaged and may never fly again.

The film examines an anguished man caught in the grip of addiction and the consequences of a misguided life. As the film begins, a strongly atmospheric scene foreshadows coming events, as powerful weather and personal turbulence intersect during the flight and crash of a passenger airliner.

Bravo and Echo are F/A-18F Super Hornets, numbers 113 and 210 respectively and referred to as "The Jolly Wrenches" in this movie. VFA-103 In the real-life Top Gun academy is known as "The Jolly Rogers"; Val Kilmer and Anthony Edwards were cast to voice them based on them both appearing in the movie Top Gun (1986).

In the movie we see, Dusty sacrifices himself to save two campers by redlining his engine, which stalls him out and he crashes. After being in (essentially) a coma for five days, he awakens to find all his damage repaired, his previously unfixable, irreplaceable gear box fixed and replaced.

The real-life Dusty Crophopper airplane began its life as an Air Tractor AT-301 owned by Texas aerial applicator Rusty Lindeman. With much help from Air Tractor, Disney producers, and Ultra Productions, Lindeman transformed the airplane into the movie's lead character, Dusty Crophopper.

The film, about a crop-dusting plane - Dusty Crophopper - that trains to be an aeronautical firefighter, is set in the fictional land of Piston Peak.

The film, about a crop-dusting plane - Dusty Crophopper - that trains to be an aeronautical firefighter, is set in the fictional land of Piston Peak.

Dusty is an AT-301/400A plane. Dusty was inspired by the Air Tractor AT-502, Cessna 188, and the PZL-Mielec M-18 Dromader.

As an airplane moves through the air, the shape of the wings causes there to be less air pressure pushing down on the wings than pushing up on the wings. This difference in pressure yields the upward lift. If the downward gravitational force is less than the upward lift, then the airplane stays in the air.

An aircraft in straight and level flight is acted upon by four forces: lift, gravity, thrust and drag. The opposing forces balance each other: Lift equals gravity, and thrust equals drag. Thrust: The force that moves an airplane forward through the air. Thrust is created by a propeller or a jet engine.

Dusty (Dane Cook), the famous racing airplane, learns that his engine is damaged, so he must shift gears and find a new career. He joins an elite corps of firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park. When a massive wildfire threatens the park, Dusty -- with the help of his fearless colleagues Blade Ranger, Lil' Dipper (Julie Bowen), Windlifter, Cabbie and the Smokejumpers -- learns what it takes to become a real hero.Planes: Fire & Rescue / Film synopsis
