The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus feature a 12-megapixel (4032×3024 pixels) rear-facing camera, an upgrade from the 8-megapixel (3264×2448) unit on previous models, as well as a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, compared to 1.3 megapixels of the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, 6 Plus and iPhone SE.

At first glance, you might think that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s are the same phone, but actually there are a number of design differences between the two handsets. It's highly polished and refined. I can't say my life was changed using the iPhone 6S, but I can say it's a really good year-over-year hardware improvement.

Despite rumors to the contrary, the iPhone 6S is not waterproof. CNNMoney put the new iPhone's water resistance to the test, dunking it in a vase of water for five minutes. Remarkably, the iPhone 6S continued to operate while submerged.

Is iPhone 6s an excellent phone? For an Apple fan and a person who likes clean and simple design - surely it is. The phone is great in terms of hardware as well: it has an efficient processor, 2GB of RAM, supports 3D Touch and has a decent camera.

iPhones are always useful. The only limitation you face after 8–9 years is that Apple stops to support the older models, i.e. you will not be able to upgrade the iOS. That's it. For all functional purposes, iPhone 6s will be useful in 2023 and some more years to come.

2. This iPhone is still worth it because it's still able to run Apple's iOS 15. Until iOS 16 was released in September 2022, a used iPhone 6S was still able to run the most recent Apple mobile operating system: iOS 15.

It's awesome to have all the same options - HDR mode, filters, timer and flash - all available in the front-facing and rear-facing camera - and the quality of the photos is improved as a result, with the 5MP sensor providing a real enhancement over the paltry 1.2MP sensor used in previous models.

The iPhone 6s on iOS 12 in particular is very fast, it's A9 chip has a CPU just as fast as the latest android phones, including the Samsung S10, even though it's nearly 4 years old, this just goes to show how far ahead Apple were and still are in silicon development.
