Michael K. Williams was an American actor who was best known for his roles in various popular TV shows and movies. He was born on November 22, 1966, in Brooklyn, New York City, and grew up in the Vanderveer Projects.

Williams started his acting career in 1995 with a small role in the movie "Bullet." He then appeared in various TV shows such as "Law & Order," "The Sopranos," and "Alias." However, his breakthrough role came in 2002 when he was cast as Omar Little in the popular HBO series "The Wire." His performance as Omar Little, a gay stick-up man, was widely praised, and he quickly became a fan favorite.

After "The Wire," Williams continued to appear in various TV shows and movies, including "Boardwalk Empire," "Hap and Leonard," "When We Rise," and "The Night Of." In 2019, he was cast as Montrose Freeman in the HBO series "Lovecraft Country."

Apart from his acting career, Williams also appeared in several commercials. He was the face of various brands such as AT&T, Nike, and Enfamil. In 2015, he appeared in a commercial for the video game "Battlefield Hardline," in which he played a detective.

Williams was a talented actor who received several accolades throughout his career.
