Jack Links Beef Jerky TV commercial - Meat vs. Smoothies

Jack Link's Beef Jerky has released a new TV spot titled "Meat vs. Smoothies" that presents a hilarious showdown between two contrasting lifestyles. In the commercial, a group of fit and trendy hipsters take to the streets with their colorful smoothies, and they are soon confronted by a manly and beefy character wielding a hefty bag of Jack Link's Beef Jerky.

As soon as the two groups lock eyes, the tension between them starts to build. The beef jerky guy, named "Mr. Beef" asserts that smoothies just don't cut it when it comes to fueling the body, while the smoothie enthusiasts argue that jerky is unhealthy and bound to plug up their arteries. It's Meat vs. Smoothies, and it's personal.

As the scene heats up, both groups begin to banter with each other about the benefits of their respective symbols of virility and health. They trade insults and jabs, which only serve to reinforce the fundamental differences between them.

Ultimately, the ad shows that there's no one-size-fits-all approach to health and wellness. Sure, smoothies may be a great way to get vitamins and minerals, but sometimes the body craves the protein boost and savory flavor of a good beef jerky snack. It's a battle for the ages, and the winner is ultimately up to the individual.

In the end, "Mr. Beef" makes his point clear by pointing out that meat has been fueling humans for thousands of years, while smoothies are a relatively new trend. It's a clever twist that speaks to the primal nature of our shared human experience, and Jack Link's Beef Jerky emerges as the clear victor.

Frequently Asked Questions about jack link's beef jerky tv spot, 'meat vs. smoothies'

The brand explains on their website: “Both meat snacks are made of 100% lean beef, but Beef Jerky and Biltong offer you a different taste and texture experience. “Jerky is always smoked and has a sweeter taste, whereas Biltong is never smoked and crafted with spirit vinegar. Biltong also has a slower drying time.”

We use the leanest cuts of meat, slice them into snack-worthy strips and then follow a 100-year-old family recipe to perfectly craft our jerky. Our meat is marinated with select, premium ingredients and a unique blend of herbs which gives Jack Link's its remarkable flavor.

MADE WITH 100% BEEF: Our Original Beef Jerky starts with carefully selected lean cuts of 100% premium beef. Marinated in our signature blend of herbs and spices and slow roasted over hardwood smoke. No nitrates or nitrites except for those naturally occurring in sea salt and cultured celery extract.

This is a good product. The price is good for the amount and the pieces are large. The flavor is great but it is just a tiny bit too salty for my taste. Other than the salt, I would have given this product 5 stars.

Even so, beef jerky is expensive. Beef jerky is so expensive because it uses a lot of quality meat to make just a little bit of jerky, the process takes resources and employees' time, and beef jerky producers often buy from the beef industry and the price of beef can be expensive.

Both are nutrient dense, low in calories, high in protein, and high in sodium. One major difference is sugar. Biltong is made without any added sugar, whereas some jerky brands use lots of sugar in their marinade. This generally means that Biltong is a healthier option.

Generally, the traditional beef jerky sourced from a halal animal is halal as there is only salt (the halal ingredient) in it. But the commercial beef jerky varieties may contain a range of additional ingredients and certain food additives and preservatives.

Beef jerky is a great snack food that's high in protein and a good source of various minerals, including zinc and iron. However, store-bought varieties are high in sodium and may be associated with other risks, so it's best consumed in moderation as part of a varied diet.

For products sold in the United States and Canada, the products are not certified Halal or Kosher. Outside the United States and Canada, the best way to find if a Jack Link's product is Halal or Kosher is to check the back of the package. WHERE ARE YOUR PRODUCTS PACKAGED?

Beef jerky is a good source of protein and high in many vitamins and minerals, including zinc, iron, vitamin B12, phosphorus, and folate. It also has a long shelf life and is portable, making it a great on-the-go option.

Jerky snacks are comparably more nutritious than other snacks such as chips or candy bars because the jerky provides nutrients including protein and iron. For example, potato chips are higher in calories and less in nutrition, making these snacks culprits for our increased waistlines.

Beef jerky is an easy, on-the-go snack that packs high protein, zinc, and iron concentrations. Those nutrients are essential for overall health. Consuming beef jerky in moderation is key since processed and red meats can increase the risk of health complications.
