Both the Creation Museum and The Ark are amazing. While they do have a lot of the same information scattered throughout, they're very distinct experiences. If you have little kids and can only visit one of these sights, I would highly recommend just heading to the Ark.

Go visit the trip / travel is worth it - and the cost is great for what you learn and see. A lot of explanations. Excellent bookstore. People are freindly and prices are good even for a family with children at the little restaurants.

WilliamstownArk Encounter / City Spanning 510 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 51 feet high, this modern engineering marvel amazes visitors young and old. Ark Encounter is situated in the beautiful Williamstown, Kentucky, halfway between Cincinnati and Lexington on I-75.

75,000 square feet Spread over 75,000 square feet, visitors of all ages can wander the Garden of Eden alongside Adam and Eve, learn about Noah's Ark and the flood, and meet Ebenezer, an allosaurus fossil considered to be among the best preserved specimens discovered.

That part of the game is fine for children 7+ to have fun. As for pve I wouldn't let my children play unsupervised. Being online with no age restrictions other people can talk to your children in game or get gamer tag to msg or invite to a party so there is always that risk of stranger interactions.

The Ark itself is impressive in its size and it is beautiful with accurate information throughout. I would recommend everyone go at least once but not with younger kids. There is a lot of long slow moving lines and lots of reading. Not great for young kids who want to be on the move and touch things.

Many people ask how much time to allow for a visit to the Creation Museum and all that it has to offer. You can easily spend at least a whole day visiting the exhibits and its zoo, catching a concert, a guest speaker, a workshop, and enjoying a meal. You will be able to reenter the Creation Museum on the same day.

In the Book of Genesis, the ark came to rest “upon the mountains of Ararat” located in the ancient kingdom of Urartu, an area that now includes Armenia and parts of eastern Turkey and Iran - not the single, iconic peak that bears its name today.

Whether it was destroyed, captured, or hidden–nobody knows. One of the most famous claims about the Ark's whereabouts is that before the Babylonians sacked Jerusalem, it had found its way to Ethiopia, where it still resides in the town of Aksum, in the St. Mary of Zion cathedral.
