Tremfya is a monoclonal antibody that blocks a certain protein in the body that can cause inflammation and other immune responses. Tremfya is used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults. Tremfya is also used to treat active psoriatic arthritis in adults.

Response and effectiveness 84% to 85% of adults achieved an IGA response of 0/1 after 16 weeks of treatment and 70% to 73% achieved a PASI 90 (Psoriasis Area and Severity Index [PASI] score with at least a 90% reduction in symptoms from baseline) score of ≥90.

In a clinical study, most patients who saw 90% clearer skin at 28 weeks stayed clearer through 48 weeks. Psoriatic Arthritis - It can take a number of weeks before a person's psoriatic arthritis symptoms improve on Tremfya. An assessment will be made after 16 weeks of treatment, and then if the psoriatic arthritis has not responded adequately following 24 weeks of treatment, Tremfya will be stopped.
