"I think it allows for storytelling that's propulsive where you don't have an episode that's like, 'Oh, well, that was the off episode where they're just biding time. ' "

Critics Consensus: Citadel spares no expense but still feels underdeveloped, yielding a fairly fun spy caper that nonetheless creaks under the weight of its own exorbitance.

As generic as they come, and not even the leads - or a scene-stealing Stanley Tucci - can keep us too engaged... Citadel isn't great, but it's not awful, either. Most of the narrative beats are predictable.
