Madison Square Garden The BIG EAST Tournament at Madison Square Garden will be played March 13-16. FOX and FS1 will continue to televise the event. The BIG EAST Tournament has been held at MSG since 1983. It is college basketball's longest running conference postseason tournament held at the same venue.

2013Big East Conference / Founded

On July 1, 2013, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Notre Dame joined the ACC. DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall, and Villanova joined the new Big East. Cincinnati, Connecticut, South Florida, and Temple remained in the old Big East, which changed its name to the American Athletic Conference.

The BIG EAST Tournament format is double elimination. The top four teams from the regular season qualified for the tournament. Games will start at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday and the BIG EAST Championship finals are scheduled for 2 p.m. on May 27, with a possible final game scheduled at 5:30 p.m.

Prasco Park The 2023 BIG EAST Baseball Championship presented by Jeep will be co-hosted by Xavier baseball at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, during Memorial Day Weekend. The tournament opens on Wednesday, May 24 and is scheduled to run through Saturday, May 27.

FIVE BIG EAST TEAMS WENT DANCING, TWO WERE IN NIT Marquette, Xavier, Connecticut, Creighton and Providence all received NCAA Tournament invitations. Marquette, the BIG EAST regular-season and tournament champion, was awarded a No. 2 seed in the East Region.

How does the NBA Play-In work? The NBA Play-In Tournament involves teams ranked 7th-10th in each conference (8 teams in total) competing for the final two playoff spots and it is composed by 3 games for each conference: the 7th and 8th seeds play each other, with the winner clinching the 7th seed.

The NBA play-in tournament is a second-chance event that makes teams that finish from seventh to 10th place in the standings compete for the final two spots in each conference. Teams that finish seventh and eighth get two chances to win a qualifying game.
