Frequently Asked Questions about breathe right tv spot, 'strip on: all by myself'

Breathe Right® Strips consist of a flexible band of material that sticks to the external skin of the nose which causes the area just above the nostril openings to spring open, thereby increasing airflow. This product is, in fact, treating a condition called nasal valve collapse.

Breathe Right® nasal strips may be used on a daily basis. Do not use for more than 12 hours per day. If rash or skin irritation occurs, discontinue use. Each strip is for a single use only - do not reapply; use a fresh strip.

50% stronger than our original clear nasal strips, Extra Strength Clear nasal strips offer a bit more oomph for people with sensitive skin, while still being almost unnoticeable to the eye.

Featuring a calming lavender scent, simply scratch the surface of the nasal strip to release the lavender aroma for the perfect addition to any nighttime routine. Each Breathe Right nasal strip is uniquely engineered with flexible “spring-like” bands and sticks to the area right above the flare of each nostril.

Like many other OTC treatments, these products may temporarily reduce snoring due to infrequent nasal blockage or sinus congestion, often associated with temporary illnesses such as the flu or a cold, but there is little evidence to suggest that nasal strips help treat or prevent more chronic snoring related to ...

Nasal strips work to reopen this passageway so that air can flow as it should. Breathe Right is one popular brand of nasal strips, though there are others.

Nasal strips are safe to use every night, but research into their safety generally assumes they are worn for about 8 hours and no more than 12 hours per day. A potential side effect is skin irritation at the application site.

You can think of nasal strips as breathing aids for while you sleep. Although there are various nasal strip brands on the market, the most popular one is called Breathe Right.

No expiration date that I am aware. Albeit if you store them in a very warm area of your house I think the sticky stuff might degrade over time (months). I've used a few that were over a year and a half old and they still worked. I use the extra strength now but used to use the regular ones.

Excessive oil, wax, lotion, etc. will prevent the strip from sticking properly. Wash and dry your face before installing the strip. If your nose is still too oily or waxy, and this happens certain times of the year, use a little alcohol or Sea Breeze to wipe only the sides of your nose before installation.

While intentional nose breathing during waking hours can offer many benefits - including slowing breathing, filtering allergens, and easing anxiety - taping your mouth while sleeping to achieve this can prove risky, leading to hampered breathing, disrupted sleep, or skin irritation.
